How long have you been tattooing and how did you start your tattooing journey?

As a child I was always drawing and dreaming to become an artist. But tattooing was never in my mind. When I was a child, tattooing was still underground. But it started to change when I was 16 or 17 years old. I knew a lot of people with tattoos but then it was a closed ‘scene’ so i never expected this would be my life path. When I was 18 years old I met my husband. He has been tattooing for 22 years now. He taught me everything in the ‘old way. The first 2-3 years I worked in his shop to clean, draw and manage the shop. As I slowly had more responsibility I started tattooing little designs.

Do you remember what was the first tattoo you did? If so, tell us what it was and for who.

Yes. It was a tattoo on my husband when I was 18 -19 years old. It was a small illustration I made back then. Small lady head but very simple. It looks awful now.

Please, tell us about your current tattoo style and how it has changed over the years.

I am tattooing a lot of animals, ornamental elements and flowers in neo traditional style. But at the beginning I started more in an old school style. I can still use some elements from it during what I am doing at this moment.

Does anyone or anything inspire you?

I am now inspired by a lot with vintage illustrations.

Are there any tattoo artists who are extremely admirable to you? If so who?

My husband (on instagram mister_electrum). It is because he was my teacher and because his style is completely different than mine. That’s why we can help each other in our work.

Do you have any memorable tattoo story or a customer that has stuck with you through all the time you have been tattooing?

I worked the first years as a tattooer in germany but not in the greatest village. We had a lot of weird customers. One time we had a client, a woman. She toled me that she stayed overnight with her boyfriend. So she had her bag with her and she left it next to the toilet room. When I walked next to it I saw her dildo and buttplug out of her bag. Pretty awkward and funny.

Is there any art form that fascinates you also except tattooing? Maybe do you have any other passion or something that you really enjoy doing?

I am now inspired with punch needling. I made a design this week and I am starting a pillow with punch needling this friday.

Do you like visiting or exhibiting at tattoo conventions? Would you recommend any of them?

Yes! I was at a lot of tattoo conventions between 2015-2018. I think sometimes 2-3 in a month. But after the birth of my son I were only at 3 conventions. And because I had a lot of conventions in the past I don’t feel the need to do a lot of them now. A lot of tattoo conventions these days look the same for me. The best convention ‘ve ever been is Brussels Tattoo Convention. I have a lot of potentiometer customers. I really liked Kraków TattooFest also.

Any artist you planning to get tattooed by? Who has tattooed you already?

The most tattoos I have from @mister_electrum. He makes colorful graphic tattoos. My chestpiece is done by Lore Morato.

What are your plans and dreams? If you think about yourself in 10 years, what do you see?

I am thankful for what I have at this moment. So if it stays like this I would be happy. But I am hoping I can evolve in my work and maybe making a bigger studio next to my home so I can offer more artists a booth.
