How long have you been tattooing and how did you start your tattooing journey?

I started tattooing in 2009, when I was nearly finished my studies. I was always interested in art things, and originally I used to learn “computer graphics” but because I already had a few tattoos, I was thinking about starting doing this. In the beginning of course I tattooed my friends, and slowly I got an apprenticeship in a tattoo studio. To start this journey was the best decision in my life.

Do you remember what was the first tattoo you did? If so, tell us what it was and for who.

My first tattoo I’ve ever made was done on me. It was weird stuff, I found in some flash-book. Kind of billiard ball/bomb mixing with a skull and I only used a three liner during the process. 🙂

Please, tell us about your current tattoo style and how it has changed over the years.

My current style is new school, but also depends on the theme I got. I mean sometimes I do a bit more cartoonish, comic, anime or traditional combine with my style, using bold lines and bright colors. In the past I also did realistic tattoos with abstract elements, which I still like doing from time to time, because it’s fun to be out of my comfort zone.

Does anyone or anything inspire you?

Of course, mostly I’m inspired by other tattooers, painters, illustrators and sometimes by movies, music, traveling.

Are there any tattoo artists who are extremely admirable to you? If so who?

Yes, but right now there are too many good tattooers, but just to mention a few: Jamie Ris, Kenni Poke, Logan, Steve Moore…

Do you have any memorable tattoo story or a customer that has stuck with you through all the time you have been tattooing?

I had a customer, who always asked for some interesting project. For example one time I got a theater ticket from her to watch the whole production and then do a sleeve with the inspiration I got from it. Another time is just a sentence I got from a poet. I did 2 sleeves, 2 leg sleeves, chest piece, back piece and more for her. We used to work a few years together, so hopefully I can show you the result asap.

Is there any art form that fascinates you also except tattooing? Maybe do you have any other passion or something that you really enjoy doing?

Sometimes, when I have free time I like to paint graffiti and I also like to draw with markers at home.

Do you like visiting or exhibiting at tattoo conventions? Would you recommend any of them?

Yes, definitely. Normally I visit 4-5 conventions per year, my personal favorite is the Mondial du Tatouage, but I also like Tattoofest, Brussels, Evian, Milano, Amsterdam conventions. I’m so sorry that this corona thing destroyed these events, but hopefully next year we are able to enjoy it again. Finger crossed.

Any artist you planning to get tattooed by? Who has tattooed you already?

I have tattoos from so many friends and workmates, so it can be a long list but the most significants are by Csiga, Jamie Ris, Davee Blows, Voller Kontrast, Robert Borbas. I’m planning to get some work done by Timmy B and Logan for sure.

What are your plans and dreams? If you think about yourself in 10 years, what do you see?

Always difficult to answer this question, but I think I want to have a normal, healthy life with more traveling and still doing the best what I can for my customers and career.
