How long have you been tattooing and how did you start your tattooing journey?

I’ve been tattooing 9 years. The first time I got a tattoo the experience was overwhelming. I loved the tattoo, the artist, the lifestyle, the art and everything. I realized instantly, on that day, that was what I wanted to do. I moved to Texas and apprenticed for a year and a half under Dwayne Dahl then began my journey as a tattoo artist.

Do you remember what was the first tattoo you did? If so, tell us what it was and for who.

The first tattoo I ever did was a pair of praying hands. The tattoo was on a friend of mine who said he wanted to be the first person I ever tattooed when I became a tattoo artist. It was an amazing experience. I finally felt what I experienced that first day in a tattoo shop. The tattoo wasn’t done super well but to this day he still has it and he is still proud to wear my first professional tattoo.

Please, tell us about your current tattoo style and how it has changed over the years.

My mentor mostly did traditional tattoos so I started there. But I became more interested in new traditional and as time went on I saw myself wanting to try multiple styles. To define what I would like best.. to this day I don’t really have a favorite style yet, I just enjoy tattooing.

Does anyone or anything inspire you?

Joe Rogan. His view on the world and his motivational videos have changed my life.

Are there any tattoo artists who are extremely admirable to you? If so who?

Timmy b has always been a hero of mine. I had a chance to meet him at a tattoo convention and I stood watching him tattoo for over an hour until he looked at me and asked if I wanted to come back and watch him more. I sat and watched him for that entire tattoo and he answered every question I had. He was so humble and kind to me. He didn’t know it then, but he really molded my mindset for the years to come and I’m still thankful for that to this day.

Do you have any memorable tattoo story or a customer that has stuck with you through all the time you have been tattooing?

I once tattooed this guy, we connected on a deep level. He told me that he and his wife were struggling to have a child and had been struggling for quite some time. I told him I fully believed in manifesting your desires into reality.  I told him after that day his streak would end and that they WILL have the baby they wanted. He called me a month later to tell me his wife was pregnant. He was crying tears of happiness and thanking me for what happened. He told me if it he had a boy he’d name him after me (he ended up having a girl). I don’t take credit for their baby, but it was one of the craziest experiences that I’ll never forget .

Is there any art form that fascinates you also except tattooing? Maybe do you have any other passion or something that you really enjoy doing?

I study martial arts in my spare time. I’ve trained Muay Thai and boxing for years. It’s a good way to stay sharp and keep my body in good shape and to be able continue the tattoo artists life of always sitting in chairs.

Do you like visiting or exhibiting at tattoo conventions? Would you recommend any of them?

I go to a lot of the east coast in the United States conventions. Cities such as; Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Allentown. I’d definitely recommend them all. I really enjoy getting to tattoo with some of the people I look up to when visiting conventions.

Any artist you planning to get tattooed by? Who has tattooed you already?

I really want to get my full back tattooed by Lux Altera his work is incredible.

I’ve been tattooed by Timmy b, Devin Coley, Elijah Nguyen, Mason Chimato, Mike Dowdell who are all friends and favorite artists of mine.

What are your plans and dreams? If you think about yourself in 10 years, what do you see?

I see myself tattooing in my own shop with a great staff of wonderful people making content for the world to enjoy. I have a dream of doing a comedy-based tattoo TV show too which I am currently working on. I’d love to see it televised or streamed on a big platform for multiple seasons.
