How long have you been tattooing and how did you start your tattooing journey?

I started tattooing in 2000. I made a tattoo machine from a string of a guitar, a ballpoint pen, a motor from the player, and a power supply from the wood-burning pen. I started because I wanted to get some tattoos for myself.

Do you remember what was the first tattoo you did? If so, tell us what it was and for who.

On May 5 2000 there was a parade of planets. On that day I drew and tattooed this event on my arm. Was my first tattoo. Afterward, some of my friends wanted to. So, for the first 3-4 years I just practiced with a handmade tattoo machine, making tattoos for free.

Please, tell us about your current tattoo style and how it has changed over the years.

My current style is photorealistic tattoos. I like morph tattoo style, to combine nature with some industrial themes. But clients are different and also I do portraits, animals, plants, flowers. I make custom projects for every client.

Does anyone or anything inspire you?

My family inspires and supports me every time. We love to visit exhibitions, museums. It inspires me to do more artistic projects. Also, the life around inspires me, nature, which merges with our modern world.

Are there any tattoo artists who are extremely admirable to you? If so who?

There are a lot of good artists and it is difficult to choose only one or two of them. I know more nice artists and they are all admirable to me.

Do you have any memorable tattoo story or a customer that has stuck with you through all the time you have been tattooing?

In 2007 was the first small tattoo convention in our country. I was tattooing my friend. I tattooed his portrait on his back and we won first place. Was funny to do that and it was my first portrait, first convention, and first prize in my life.

Is there any art form that fascinates you also except tattooing? Maybe do you have any other passion or something that you really enjoy doing?

I studied school, college of art, and one year of graphic design in an academy. Before the tattooing, I made ceramic, graphic, oil paintings. Now sometimes I do acrylic paintings. I hope in the future to have more time for different forms of art.

Do you like visiting or exhibiting at tattoo conventions? Would you recommend any of them?

Of course, I like tattoo conventions as a part of our life. I went to more conventions. The most memorable were Brussels, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Stockholm Ink Bash, and Milano tattoo conventions. At all those conventions I worked too and I met a lot of nice people and good artists.

Any artist you planning to get tattooed by? Who has tattooed you already?

All my tattoos were done by myself, except one, from an old friend. For now, I don’t have plans to get tattooed, but if I decide and I will know what style I would like, I will think about artists.

What are your plans and dreams? If you think about yourself in 10 years, what do you see?

I have plans to open my own tattoo shop. I’m gonna do interesting projects, nice tattoos and another form of art too there, to make a nice art gallery.
