Although we have a lot of time separating us from September 2019, my memories of the Machine Gun Kelly concert at the Progresja club in Warsaw are still fresh! Almost as if it happened last week, apart from the fact that for several months there have been no concerts in Poland and many other countries. Shortly after his twentieth birthday, he became one of the greatest stars of American hip hop. All his albums hit the dozens of Billboards. On his latest international tour “Hotel Diablo World Tour” the artist has planned one-stop in Poland. Therefore, on September 11, 2019, he performed in Warsaw’s Progresja! For those who do not yet know who MGK is, I have a short introduction below.

Machine Gun Kelly (born on April 22, 1990) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. He comes from Cleveland, Ohio. Richard Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly) made his film debut in Beyond the Lights in 2014. This film is a romantic drama in which he played a “shallow, self-important” rapper named Kid Culprit. Then, in 2016, he played in another four films in various genres. You could also see him in series “Roadies” and a Netflix Film about Mötley Crüe named “Bird Box”. His most recently released movie is “Big Time Adolescence”.

But for MGK fans, his musical achievements will always be the most important. He has been active in the music scene since 2006. Since that time he has released five studio albums throughout his career:

  • Lace Up (2012)
  • General Admission (2015)
  • Bloom (2017)
  • Hotel Diablo (2019)
  • Tickets to My Downfall (2020)

In Poland, we had the opportunity to watch his show 7 times! I was at his last concert in Warsaw in September on his latest international tour “Hotel Diablo World Tour” and it was my first time at this gig. I will remember it for the rest of my life. It was not only a well-prepared concert in terms of music but also a great spectacle of light and arrangement on the stage. During his concert, for a moment on stage he was accompanied by girls from the Polish group named Psycho Dolls, who did an amazing fire show. Even for those who do not know MGK music at all, this would be a great musical and visual event. That is why I have prepared for you some photos from this event by my and known Polish photographer Bartek Modrzejewski, who photographs musicians, especially rappers for many years.
