Yvonne Heartmann, many of you may already have heard about this Polish beauty. Her skills are more than on par with her looks and she creates masterpieces with it. She has always loved art, as can be clearly seen in all her art-work and her tattooing. It is clear that she holds art very near and dear to her heart. Like any good artist, she loves the fantastical and the wondrous, which also clearly shows in her beautiful tattooing.

Her Style is neo-traditonal, a popular style which for good reasons has been more and more popular these years.
Yvonne is one of the artists, whose skill makes it very clear why this style is so popular. The way she plays with color compositions and light effects in her tattoos. The clear lining and the vibrant colors. The fantastical images that all clearly tell a story. She is a true master of the style and her work is beautiful.

The Interview:

  1. Where are you from? What age are you? and how long have you been tattooing for?

I`m from Poland, currently living in the capital, Warsaw. I just turned 31, tattooing since around 8 years

  1. The name of your current studio and where is it located?

I work in Caffeine by Bartosz Panas in Warsaw

  1. How would you describe your style of tattooing/the style of your tattoos?

Neotraditional. I always loved it and wanted to make neotraditionals. And also themes are very important for me. I like myths, horror and heavy metal so those are what I like to draw and tattoo best.

  1. What is it you love about that style?

I found neotraditional tattoos as one of the most solid and timeless. Well done neotrad tattoo still looks cool after many years. It evolved from oldschool so it`s usually classical themes and those are always up to date and clear to read and understandable. Also it gives an opportunity to create and show the world the way artist see it. I like to interpret and stylise forms, bring out the typical qualities and it`s all about neotrad.

  1. What is your favourite thing about being a tattoo artist?

I can show my hobbies and passions in my own art. And that there are people who likes it that much that want to have it till the last day. And of course it`s a great creative job which helps me to live the way I want.

  1. What got you into tattooing?

I liked tattoos  and wanted to be tattooed since I was a child. And I always wanted to live off doing somthing connected with art. When I didn`t get to the Academy of Art in Warsaw I decided to try with tattooing.

  1. What inspires your tattoos(and art) the most?

All my other passions and hobbies. As I mentioned I like fantasies and music, cool characters and nature. I like to dream and imagine different worlds and beings. It`s kind of nostalgia and longing for life I`ll never live.

  1. What is your favourite tattoo you have ever done or seen?

It`s impossible for me to choose only one. There are tons of great artists and even more great tattoos.

  1. Do you have a dream tattoo, that you want to do on someone in the future?

I`d like to make slav epic themed full body. That would be rad! I`m proud and fascinated with prechristian culture of my nation.

  1. Do you have any future plans, you would like your fans and the readers at Mediazink, to know about?

I plan to work more on my style for sure and get back to paint bigger sizes with acrylics. Maybe travel some more and visit international conventions.

Final Comment and Gallery:

Yvonne Heartmann truly loves art, be it in her tattoos or her paintings etc. If her paintings are anything like her tattoos, then they too must be masterpieces. Hopefully she will get to do more tattoos themed with prechristian slav culture. We know that we would sure love to see, what tattoos she could make about her country’s past slav culture.
No matter what we know that she will continue to amaze us with her tattooing skills, she is very much a part of putting Poland on the world tattoo scene.
