A Year Of Tragedy; The Celebrity Deaths of 2017:

2017 was for many a year of tragedy. Hopefully for most people reading this it has not been a year of personal tragedy. However, you would have had to live under a rock, to not be hit by the public tragedies of 2017. Namely we are talking about all the celebrities who we lost this year. Many of which were treasured by people, who loved their work.

It seems like not a single pop-culture or sub-culture group, was left untouched. We lost people like Tom Petty (musician), Hugh Hefner (playboy creator), Adam West (cherished actor) and Chester Bennington. All of these people were famous for both what they did for pop-culture and tv, but also for what they did to make the world a better place. All of them are surely missed, but even a Galaxy Far Far Away and a wizarding world hidden by magic, did not escape tragedy. We lost the incredible Carrie Fisher, famous for playing princess Leia in the Star Wars saga. A woman known for her on screen presence, as well as her off screen presence. We also lost the charismatic and always brilliant Alan Rickman, the famous British actor who has been in countless movies. But for many, he is most famous for portraying Severus Snape, in the Harry Potter franchise.

A bit more recently, a lot of young people were filled with sorrow yet again, as the young rapper Lil Peep, died at the mere age of 21.
His career was just taking off and it is clear, that many feel it was a true tragedy and he will be sorely missed.

Pay Them Tribute:

It is clear, that nothing we can do, will bring these people back nor will it remove the tragedy of their deaths. But we can pay them tribute.
We can try and live our lives to the fullest, in honor of their memories. We can try and live up to the messages they were trying to champion. Such as Carrie Fishers fight for women’s rights and gender equality.

Or, as has always been popular, you can forever immortalize their memory on your skin. It has been a tradition for decades by now, that people immortalize their heroes, especially after their death, with a tribute tattoo on their skin. Everything from a portrait to a famous quote of theirs. It all depends on how the individual would best like to remember them. A good example is David Bowie; for some his colorful lightning is enough, for others song lyrics are just the thing and for others yet again, they immortalize the man with a realistic portrait.

Final Comment:

No matter what you choose to do or how you choose to remember them, just remember; life is precious, so remember to live it. We here at MediaZink hope that you have a much better 2018. Remember to think before you ink and be certain before you pierce the skin. But with that said, don’t postpone it for too long, you might regret it forever.

In loving memory of all the people we lost this year, we wish you a great 2018 and an awesome life! For more awesome articles please don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram (@Mediazink_Official), for more awesome articles and other content.
