Skindigenous; New Show Promises to Be a Hit:

You may have already seen Tattoo Life magazine’s coverage on this new show, or you may have already seen this cool show. If you haven’t please go check that out both. This show is the creme de la creme, for tattoo nerds and lovers. It is a show, that like the title hints at, takes us back to the roots of tattooing. Looking at indigenous people’s tattooing history, traditions, cultures and more, even taking a look at people, that are still keeping those traditions alive today.

Nothing is left unexplored. There will be episodes focused on everything from the Inuits, to the Maori tattoo cultures and styles. They even got the distinguished honour, rarely seen ever, to film the Inuit process of sewing tattoos into the skin. It was also easily gleaned, which is awesome, from the trailer. That they will be diving into the cultural and personal meanings, of the people keeping these tattoo traditions alive today.

All in all, this show seems to be one to watch and one that will teach anyone that watches, a lot about the world and history of tattoos. From popular culture today, to the remnants of tribal culture worldwide. Hopefully this show is as big a success as it clearly deserves to be.
