Kelly Comatose; From Party-girl To Renowned Model:
Kelly Comatose, don’t be fooled by her nickname, cause this girl isn’t sleeping on anything. Kelly seems to be an incredibly hardworking model, running from shoot to shoot. Not just that, but she shoots with all the best and biggest in the game, such as inked up magazine. All while still maintaining time for herself and her (night) job, we have no idea how she can manage it all. She is at a whole other level, but we bet you would realize that quickly, just by seeing her or reading her what she has to say.
1.Where are you from and what age are you?
I’d rather not answer this question lol.
2. Where does the name Kelly Comatose come from ?
My name was a nickname from my past party days. I spent a lot of time with a skate crew and every night we would drink and party until we passed out. Kelly Comatose just stuck throughout the years. Although I still like the nightlife, the Comatose black out days are gladly over.
3. What do you do for a living when not modelling?
I work at the world famous Sapphire as a dancer and I also do freelance graphic design.
4. How did you discover (tattoo) modelling?
I began tattoo modeling after I finished my back. I have put a lot of time and effort into my tattoos and wanted to showcase them. Soon after a few shoots I was hooked and began to really take modeling seriously.
5. How do you balance your day job with modelling?
Working at night allows me the freedom to shoot during the day.
6. When did you get your first tattoo?
I got my first tattoo when I was 18 and it is still the piece that I want to coverup.
7. What’s your favourite tattoo you have gotten so far and do you have any crazy tattoo plans in the future?
I think my favorite tattoo is my back tattoo. It took me 2 years to finish and I had to travel to Austin, TX for every session. Check out Raymond Wallace, his artwork is incredible.
8. What’s your favourite ever photoshoot or photoshoot moment?
I have so many favorite shoots but recently one that I just did was shot by Aaron Falzone (made.photo), on the Santa Monica Pier. We had to wait till it was dark out and it was particularly windy and cold that day. Needless to say the water was freezing and I was basically nude so it wasn’t the most comfortable shoots, but it turned out great!
9. What’s the worst thing that ever happened to you on a shoot?
All the photographers that I’ve worked for all professionals so there’s nothing that’s happened at shoots besides wardrobe malfunctions.
10. Outside of modelling and tattoos, what are you passionate about?
Outside modeling and tattoos I’m really passionate about art, music, travel, astronomy, film and humanitarian work.
11. What are your plans for the future, anything we should watch out for?
My plans for this year are to do some international travel for shoots as well as print work, keep watching!
Kelly Comatose, we are looking forward to this girl taking over the world as she does her international shoots this year. But it is incredible, such a beautiful girl with one hell of a tattoo collection. Truly loving art, not just on her skin, but also working as graphic designer, when not at her job as a professional dancer. The only word that seems to be able to describe Kelly is; Impressive! We can’t wait to see what she gets up to in the future.
