John Clayton Mayer

A man who has a full name of John Clayton Mayer was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on October 16, 1977. He is a musician, singer, songwriter, and also a music producer. Mayer is the second of three brothers. He wanted to play a guitar after seeing Michael J. Fox who played as Martin McFly in Back to the Future, and when he was 13, his father, Richard, who was a school principal, lent him a guitar. After Mayer was given songs cassette by Stevie Ray Vaughan, who was the Texas Blues musician, he began to fall in love with blues music. Mayer began learning guitar from a store owner and began to play it nicely.

John Mayer received his music education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 19. Even so, he and his friend Clay Cook, moved to Atlanta, Georgia after college for two semesters. In Atlanta, Mayer and Cook made a band called LoFi Masters and started performing at local coffee shops and clubs. After some time playing together, they decided to split up because of different music streams. Finally, there he began the journey of his solo career.
